7th International Conference on Machine Learning for Networking (MLN'2024)

Reims, France, November 27-29, 2024

Keynote: Abbes Amira, Professor at University of Sharja, UAE

Title: Driving Energy Efficiency and Smarter User Behavior with IoT and Machine Learning

Abstract

In today's rapidly advancing technological landscape, the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and machine learning is revolutionizing the way we manage and optimize energy consumption. This keynote will explore the powerful combination of IoT sensors and machine learning algorithms in enhancing energy efficiency and encouraging smarter user behavior. By leveraging real-time data from connected devices, we can monitor, analyze, and predict energy usage, leading to more informed and sustainable decisions.
The talk will highlight how IoT enables the collection of vast amounts of energy data, while machine learning processes this data for anomaly detection, consumption patterns identification, and energy use optimization. These technologies not only improve overall energy efficiency but also empower users to modify their behavior through personalized recommendations and real-time feedback.
We will explore data visualization insights, driven by machine learning, helps consumers make data-driven decisions to further enhance energy conservation. Additionally, we will address the challenges and future trends in the IoT-energy landscape, emphasizing the role of Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI in shaping a more sustainable energy ecosystem.
This keynote aims to shed light on how IoT and machine learning together can transform energy systems and foster a new era of smart, efficient energy consumption.
